Are you a hot sleeper?
If you do these things, you're not alone. They're all signs of being a hot sleeper.

why you're sweating at night
Your body naturally cools you down as you sleep. It’s part of how you fall asleep faster and stay in deeper, more restorative sleep cycles. But for a lot of us, that natural cooling process gets thrown off — whether it’s hormones, medication, synthetic fabrics, or a warm room - leaving you waking up sweaty, kicking off the covers, or flipping your pillow to the cool side (again).
One thing most people don't think about: what you wear to bed can make a huge difference.

fabrics matter more than you think
Not all fabrics - and pajamas - are created equal. While some traditional pajama fabrics trap heat and hold onto moisture, ours are designed to help your body breathe.
We thoughtfully chose lyocell and modal fabrics that are naturally breathable, moisture-wicking, and temperature regulating. They help release heat and manage moisture, so you can finally ditch that damp-pajama feeling.
It's sleepwear that feels lighter, drier, and noticeably cooler throughout the night. So you don't need to stick one leg outside of the covers to sleep better.
"I don’t know if it’s just coincidence, but I’ve slept better in these pajamas than I have in the two years since my son was born! I think the material is keeping me cool when I sleep because I’m a hot sleeper, and it’s making me sleep better! Bottom line… I’m obsessed!!"

"The t-shirt is absolutely fabulous! I love the coverage for wearing around the house. The fabric is so breathable that I never sweat at night which makes for a great night's sleep."

"These pants feel amazing on! The material is so, so soft, and is somehow cooling so that it isn't hot to wear to bed."

Burning questions
Waking up hot and sweaty is common - especially for women! Your body naturally cools you down as you sleep, but everything from hormones, medications, a warm bedroom or the wrong pajamas can interfere with the body's natural cooling process and contribute to night sweats.
Creating a cooler sleep environment and wearing breathable, moisture-wicking pajamas can help you stay more cool and comfortable throughout the night. And of course, it you have concerns about night sweats, it's always best to speak with your healthcare provider!
Some of our favorite tips for staying cool at night include keeping your bedroom at a comfortable temperature, using lightweight bedding, and of course, choosing breathable sleepwear made from temperature-regulating fabrics.
Many traditional pajamas are made from synthetic materials or heavy cotton that trap heat and hold on to moisture. If you're a hot sleeper, choosing lightweight, breathable pajamas made from temperature-regulating fabrics can help you stay cooler, drier, and more comfortable while you sleep.
Your body naturally brings down your core temperature as you prepare for sleep. It's the body's way of signaling that it's time to fall (and stay) asleep.
When your body has a hard time releasing heat and cooling down - whether it's due to your sleep environment, a health condition, or your clothing - you may wake up feeling hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable. Wearing breathable, moisture-wicking sleepwear is one way to help create a cooler, more comfortable sleep environment.
The best pajamas for hot sleepers are lightweight, breathable and designed to help heat escape instead of trapping it against your body. Fabrics that are moisture-wicking can also help you stay more comfortable if you're prone to sweating while you sleep.
At SHANNON Sleepwear, we thoughtfully selected our fabrics with hot sleepers in mind. Our modal and lyocell fabrics are not only incredibly soft and cozy - they're breathable, moisture-wicking, and designed to help heat and moisture escape more easily, so you stay comfortable all night long.
Many synthetic fabrics and heavy cottons can trap body heat and hold on to moisture. Breathable fabrics allow for more airflow and wick away moisture more effectively.
Modal and lyocell fabrics, like the ones we use, are known for their breathability and moisture management (in addition to just being ridiculously soft), so they're a popular choice for hot sleepers.
We like to tout our built-in coverage and modern styles, but the truth is pajamas should do more than just make you look good. They should contribute to a good night's sleep.
That's why we use modal and lyocell fabrics that aren't just super soft - they're breathable and moisture-wicking to help you stay cool all night long.
Our pajamas are truly made for sleep and designed for life.
The best style is the one you'll be the most comfortable in! Some people prefer the freedom of shorts and a tank, while others prefer to be cozy and covered in a t-shirt and pants.
The good news is that customers have found all of our styles - including the pants! - to be cool and comfy all night long, thanks to our lightweight, breathable fabrics.
We recommend machine washing your pajamas in cold water with like colors. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low on a low setting. For best results and to extend the longevity of your pajamas, hang them to dry.
If you're over the night sweats, it might be time to switch up your sleepwear.
